Classic Sesame Street: Bert's and John-John's Emotions

CHILDREN CLASS

CHILDREN CLASS
By Misdi

Atmosphere
Children class is different from adult one. It has specific characteristics such as noisy, talkative, fun, joyful, moving around, and colorful. It is colorful in terms of individuals, atmosphere and setting as well as the evaluation. All are so dynamic.
Children class needs special treatments since the class is special. Therefore, the design is more complicated rather than adult class. Well-prepared design will justify good class supported by colorful media or tools to make them enjoy in learning. They will learn and play as well as play and learn.

Interaction
Children typically imitate and replay what they see or experience. Different from adult learners, they need simple instruction. Gesture, body language always accompanies learning process. Language is usually accompanied by action, movement, singing, and pictures in order to make them easier in learning language-English.

Evaluation
This issue is almost neglected in children class since written test is now more popular than the process based evaluation. This is irrelevant- I argue-since children are in process period-not in testing. It is highly suggested to apply process based evaluation to measure the learning progress.
