the first, I want to say minal a'idzin wal fa'idzin...
I watch the program in TV, called oprah. Oprah is program which can relize the others desire in a crack. For example, a girl age 16 years old so calledCherice very idol a singer so called Celine Dion, wish to come in contact with her and sing with her. In oprah program, when Cherice was singing sudden she was called by her idol and invited to sing with her. How happy is Cherice which have been invited bya Celine Dion. There is ane case again which have been finished in oprah program, that is when Ty Pannington who was write a book that contain about a change in life of like altering furnitures at home, invited to attend in oprah program. According to him, with the fox furnitures will bring a separate bliss. In oprah program there are two peopleswhich twin so called Amy Megan. Since they child, they have the same goods, they school in the same school, they teach in the same school, even they marry in the same place. Amy and Megan also have the same furnitures house, like bed room and soon. Even their house adjacent also. In fact Amy and Megan thirst for the fox furnitures at home according to their character, but they don't know how to change it. Later Ty Pannington who was write about change, making a change design to their house so that seen to differ and more bautiful from previously. Ty Pannington conduct that during Amy and Megan was teaching. Amy and Megan was surprise because their house have been altered to become more beautiful and they even also know what difference of among them. Amy and Megan very like it. According to me, program oprah is very facinating because the people who have been relized their desire will feel happy and so also with the people who look on that program. Others desire which at first not possible to be happened, becoming fact in oprah program. Someone would happy if their desire have been existed. According to me, oprah program submit the message that in pleasure or realize the other desire will be more make happy ourselves. By realizing others desire mean we have found the bliss ourselves. Oprah program also very benefit to me to increase my English language ability in listening, speaking, and vocabulary.

Secondly, i would like to give comments for your article. in my opinion, the trafict news is so important to us, especially to people who need going home visiting their families.
talking about having a-30-minute stop in front of English news or film, in my opinion, is not good act in this occasion. It's not a right moment to be spent by having them, because lebaran day should be used by "silaturrahmi" to all of members of our families. But in other side, if we dont have any bustle, watching them is a good idea to spend our time wisely.

Last week,I saw supernanny program on MetroTV. I like watch it and I always watch it if I did not forget. the supernanny program is about how to be a good parents and how to handle a naugthy child.

This is film about war, friendship,leadership,and love affair.In the war armies must shutter Arachnids because Arachnids shattered Buenos Aries city. With bad leaderships finally John Rico(actor) given corporal punishment by war leader.Friendships between male and female finally to be love affair.In my opinion this is The best film and must be watched.Because this is film has much philosophy,we can take as a model.Such as every leader must responsible for leaderships and everyone given love by GOD and it is pure. The program on last sunday reported about the earthquake in West Java, the police that investigated the sect in Manado, the corruption scandal on KPK, and etc. I think the program is good, it contains the - minute news from Indonesia and around the world, and also contains weather reports throughout Indonesia. In addition to get the important informations, we can practice our english language skill. There are so many new vocabularies that we can learn.

I agree with you about to increase our ability in listening and speaking... because listening is probably the most important skills that everyone needs to learn and practice. it is both the key to success and the main reason why teams fail to perform. Misscommunication causes hurt feelings,poor performance and disunity. when people on your team listen to one another you decrease frustration and conflict and increase the overall respect and trust level between team members.
here are ways to increase our ability to listen :
- Clarify content
- Mirror the speaker
- Stop what are you doing

Listening and speaking is one of term in English. and I think both of them is very important for us to improve our skills to be a good listener and speaker in the future.
But I have problems with my self in these term because at my house there are no channel in TV that give me information in English, like Metro TV and so on. Beside that I agree with your article about be relax to study and don't panic. because if we panic, so it can disturb our concentration to follow each task that we heard.
I feel panic when I study English especially Speaking...Maybe my skill still low.
I release that my skill is low but I always try and try to understand that I heard.

I have problem because at my house there are no channel that give news in English.So,i take a film.the title of that film is PETER PAN.this film tell about a girl who want to be a children along his life.but it is impossible,because all of the human sure grow being adult.One day,she meet a stranger boy,his name is PETER PAN.He can fly and make a girl shocked.after that they being friend.Peter Pan invites her to adventure to the land was called Neverland.At the land they against with a group of pirates.finally they become won and they like wake up in dream.but what was feel is true.they back to their world but peter pan remains being a strange boy and can't being part of they.Finally,a girl didn't scared again to grow being adult.and she always tell her experience to her generation.
In my opinion,the story of this film is good but there is scene which is bad to watch by child.like the scene kissing lips which is will be bad to child development.

I watched and observed several times the news in the television about the flow went home lebaran had many departing people to his native village used the personal vehicle. However there also are those that used the mass transport, the bus, the train, the aircraft. They were willing to queue for days to get the ticket and jostle, kept the feeling of being sick, the feeling of the fighting thirst only to release nostalgia against the family. According to me this program was good and sympathy on them who tried met big family………

I thinks watching English news is good for improve our English skills because they use formal language, so we can learn how to speak English well and also know about newest news.
Besides we can hear more clearly because off course the presenter are native, we can also learn more about pronunciation from look at the movement of presenter lips.
I thinks it's better than we just listen from the radio or tape.

your tactics&strategies in listening are very good and i will try to do it.But, here i have some informations about the mistakes in study of listening was taken from a book.I think it will be better for us to combine them in order to our listening skill can be better than past.
here some mistakes in study of listening :
1.just to listen of sound
2.always read the translation texts of movie
3.dislike the western song
4.uncommon with the manner of acquisition from English native speaker
5.not to see the mouth of partner speaker
6.just study from local speaker
7.not listening regularly
8.don't know about irregular verbs

Talking about lebaran day, I just remembered leaving your class for going back to the home town. I’m so sorry, sir…. May you could forgive me. Because I just worried of having no transportation to go back to the village. That’s why I tried to anticipate that by going early.
Ok... back to the topic. I really agree with the traffic news program, because I need it for updating my info in order to get the newest situation and condition of the traffic whether in stuck or not and anticipating of loosing the transportation. I realize that many people went to the same direction as I did, that was going to Surabaya. It was not easy to get a public transportation at that time. That’s why the traffic info was very important for me…
And about the other TV shows like entertainment, I just watched it in a free time as the media of refreshing and some kind of improving English skill (Fun English).

- There is short and medium range missiles test in Irak in Sunday night till Monday.
- The police clash with Palestinians in Jerussalem.
- Chandra and Bibit Denies taking US$150.000. But Chandra admitted that he don't recognize Muladi and Edi and he don't receive money or anything from them.
- On october first there are 10 candidates for KPK Chief refuses offer. The result is there are four candidates for KPK LEADERS.
- G-20 which held in Pittsburgh,USA intend to hear voices of Developing States and Indonesia take a part in that conference. That conference intend to solve economy and financial crisis.
- BPK Chief to submit Preliminary Audit Report.
- During Ramadan Al Nafoura Restaurant in Central Jakarta show an Arabian music from Singapore ALMYDA DUO BAHIBBAK YA LIBNAN.
- In Asahan, North Sumatra was born a baby with weight 8,9 kilograms. His name is Mohammad Akbar Arya.
This news program is very help me in listening skill, but the time was very limited just 30 minutes. So, I need English program more.

Talking about watching film. in Sunday night,on 27th September 2009 at 10.05 P.M, I watched the Japanese film.it was Geisha.I was so curiosity,what Geisha was. the story was about life of a Japanese girl,Chiyo-can.
In my opinion, the film is good but there were weakness on it.there were reasons why the film is good :
1.if we watch that film we can know the Japanese culture.for example,the meaning of Geisha itself.Geisha was a job that it done by dancing and playing music.they used kimono and the dense make up with red lipstick.
the second example,when Mameha as Chiyo's teacher ordered Chiyo to gave her Rice cake to Dr. Crab.It mean that she receive Dr.Crab's invite to give her virginity.
The weakness of the film were located in the language. they used English but unclear.And the story was so sad,sometimes it made us bored because there were much tears.

Actually I don't know what tv program I like, but I found the program like Headline news on metro TV, the presenters using kinds of language, consist of : Indonesia language, korea language, and English language.
According to me, Tv program like headline news on metro TV can Increase our ability, because we can see her performance live, and we also listening her speaking. so I like try become the presenter on metro TV like that, beside make me eassier to increase my speaking skills, but also increase my listening skills and pronounciation

To the point, after i watched TV. I found a program namely "walk the talk" on TRANS7 every sunday at 10 a.m. the presenter of this program is Mr. jasson or usually called Mr. jessie. He is an American who stay in Indonesia. This program like a "Bolang" but the differences between "bolang" is in speaking english. It means that someone who talk with Mr. Jessie he has to speak english, whoever he is. For example he met a farmer, so must speak english. Because this program have a purpose that english is very important for our life exactly in Indonesia. If someone can't speak english so Mr. Jessie will give him some informations about english.
To be honest, i very very like this program because it can help myself to improve my skill in listening and speaking. By this program i can listen what he said and that i can speak english after that i can write the word that i speak.
And i think this program is very good not only for me but also for all Indonesian, exactly students.
There are some tips for listening and speaking:
- Don't be shy
- Self confidence

ReplyDeleteAccording to me sometimes in TV news program has fascinating program, but if TV news program only that's I can bored. beside the lack, the surplus of that TV news I can get more new information about the place which never I know before.
After I watch English news or film, I think that the program so good, because I can get more new information. besides it I also get more vocabularies and certainly I can get a good pronunciation. I hope I not only can to practice the pronunciation but also I can to speak simple sentence or simple conversation with a good pronunciation as native speaker (presenter).
So, English news or films is a good way to improve my skills especially in speaking and listening skills, because to learn foreign language is very necessary and important in the future. Beside it I have to dig potentiality with practice... practice... and practice.

Sir, according to your suggestion, on lebaran holyday I watched the special TV program on Trans TV named "Bioskop Trans TV" and the tittle of film is "Daddy day's care". This film tells about a good father. He is a manager in milk company just before but there is problem in his company. And then he fired from his job. He confuse, after that he finds another company to hunting a job, but he always disfortune. At night, he disscuss with his wife about it problem and his wife give solution. The solution is his wife rework at her company last time. So, the father take care his child at home. After several days, he thought and he got a good idea he will be open the stand to take care to another children. The name of stand to take cere is "Daddy Day's Care", unexpected there are so many mom who interest.
After I watched this film, I learn that we don't lose our hope, we have to do the best for our life. Beside that, I agree that watching film is the right act to improve our skills english.

He is the student in third grade of senior high school. He lives with his uncle and aunt in small house. But, he is very happy because his uncle and aunt very love Peter Parker and they have adopted like his own child. In one day, in his school accomplished study tour to examine many kinds of spiders. And suddenly, his hand bitten by spider that cause he has power like spider. he can jump from one place to another place, climb buildings and have spider net. Before Peter has power like spider, he is calm and weak man. His friends that unlike him always to do wrong to him. Nevertheless, he can't make anything, he just surrender if his friends ignorant. Since he has power like spider, he always helps people that his helps. And one day, Green Goblin to attack the city. Green Goblin is incarnation of Mr. Osborn, is Harry's father. Harry is Peter's Friend when in senior high school. Mr. Osborn can change like monster because he drank ingredient that made by himself. The ingredient to cause he becomes a bad man. He makes chaos in all places. And finally, Green Goblin died in spiderman's hand.
According to me, Spiderman movie proper to watch. If that movie not proper to watch, impossible private sector TV in Indonesia to carry that movie. And every movies will be carry will examine rate to carry. If that movie can watched and spectator can know content of spiderman movie means that movie to carry to watched by spectator.
After I watched movie or listened to the music especially in English program, I can improve English skill, such as listening and speaking. And I also usually find new vocabularies and idioms, so my English skill will be better than before.

ReplyDeletei watched a film but i forget what is the tittle. i still remember about story it. it is yore, every animal have lags, fishes also had legs, hands eck and could speak like other animals. at the time, they couldn't swim or dive, somebody fish surprised seeing cock appearance. the cock looked so handsome there were sharp spur at his legs and fish said jealously and finally he had receive specialty it is capable to swim but because he can't save of the secret. finally fish's neck became shorter gradually his hands ad legs disappeared.
actually at the time he didn't tell it but eagle threatened will peck her eyes, you will blind forever, heard the eagle threaten. fish became afraid so he tell the secret it and finally such which story above.
after I watched the film, many vocabulary which I don't understand when watched I wrote and see in dictionary so, add vocabulary in English language.

I watched TV on September 29th 2009 at 09.00 P.M in bioskop Trans TV.The title of this movie is fair game that was played by William Baldwin as a police and Cindy Crawford as a lawyer.
It told about a lawyer who take in hand civil cases exactly divorce that caused by abuse. she helped a wife and she won this cases. But, the husband can't receive his lose, so he thought that the lawyer had to be destroyed.But,she was helped by a police until the criminal die.
in my opinion this story is very good and we can learn from it.the message is the evil will be destroyed by the truth.

my coment about western movie is very interest. i like watching it about romantic, fight, comedy, and horor. i ever watched movie the tittle is the suster. it is afraid if you alone see. the story tell about a neighbourhood who is a women into it. there are husband,wife, and children. the women who know a suster like to her husband, and the wife not know, actually he doesn't like to suster. and then the suster make plane to ditrube them. but, it is not successfully. finally they can live by happy. i can take intersactional about it. and i become more understand about prounounciation to learn . o.k. sir... thank you.

I watched bioskop TransTV, the title is "Anacondas". The film told about group of people was doing journey to research bunch of orchid in Amazon forest.They got a lot of hindrances and that some of them passed a way.However, they succed to get what they researched.
In my opinion that film is good program because we can learn about their fight to against the enemy. their enemy is the biggest snake in the world,some people called anaconda. But i annoyed when i was watching that film because the leader is selfish and irresponsible.

Lebaran is very special day for almost all Indonesia citizens, it attracts attention of various level people, and the migrated people “kaum urban” come back to their home town just for celebrating this ceremonial day.
Business industries read this moment as a day that brings a good luck, not left behind entertainment or TV industries. They serve a special program that contains the need of people who want to have a long trip to come to the place where they were born, traffic news.
The need of people about this news is very high, as the consequence they try to find out the latest information about traffic condition. Their purpose is that they can set right time to hit the road, to choose the fit way to use and things should they prepare during the journey.
Such kind of this program is helpful not only for migrated people but also for the police that are controlling traffic jam.
Improving English skill by watching kind of films, to me it is not too bad, besides we can enjoy the story of the film we also can improve our skill to understand and know kinds of vocabularies that are commonly used by them, but the weakness of this method is that we sometimes find words that are pronounced far from standard of English, and the usage uncommon words for formal condition. For the students who learn English as the second language it needs hard work to select good words to use

the story about wars between sparta and persia soldiers. sparta soldiers consist of 300 that was the best choosen and can be lose persia soldiers.it's so wonderful film and the positive value from this film that "struggle need sacrifice", and the pronounciation very fast , fluently but difficult to be understood.

About comment, I just can say little about "GOTCHA"... It is about someone who want to study more in university but his parents don't allow him and ask him to help in family's financial.. Finally, he decide to study in Australia while he works in one of factory there.. But, in his university there is terorism which make him change...
From this film, We can get one point, just one point, that if someone has intention to do something, he/she have to give more attention in order to reach what he/she dreams although he/she have todo other things which his/her family want..

After I watched news on metro TV, I want to comment about " CRIME NEWS on the spot ". Television broadcasting is one of a lot of media transferring information and education what audience needs. Nowadays many type of information are transmit as news from they are i.e. crime news(suicide, rob, pickpocket, etc). The people as audience at home always want to watch new hot items what interest lke crime story or crime news, but we don't realize what the effects of crime news for us. On an immediately scale, the information of crimenews teach us how to make a criminal, how to do it. They are (TV/broadcast) only want to get sponsorship as the prime time, it's mean step by step our national culture are to be translation and transformation, and at the end they can not differentiate where is good thing and where is bad thing.
